A meeting on the topic “Adaptation of Persons with Disabilities in Workplaces and Improvement of Inclusive Working Conditions” was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) and the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event, held at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and its member organizations, as well as staff members of the Center.
During the meeting, issues related to the formation of inclusive labor relations, the adaptation of persons with disabilities to the working environment, and the creation of safe and accessible working conditions were discussed. It was emphasized that compliance with standards in this field, as well as strengthening informational, educational, and training activities, is of particular importance.
The discussions also covered the role of trade unions in promoting inclusivity, practical approaches to creating an adapted work environment, and the stages of social and psychological integration.
Representatives of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, its affiliated organizations, as well as employees of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center took part in the event held at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center.
During the discussions, participants exchanged views on the role of trade unions in promoting inclusivity, practical approaches to creating an adapted working environment, and the stages of socio-psychological integration.
