The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK) continues to hold meetings with the leaders of its member organizations, focused on key areas of activity and plans for the upcoming period.
At one of the recent meetings, Elnara Muradova, Chairperson of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers — a member organization of AHİK — presented a detailed report on the committee’s work. She outlined measures taken to protect the labor rights of healthcare workers and to ensure occupational safety. She also spoke about creating decent working conditions, as well as organizing medical care and recreational opportunities for staff.
The meeting highlighted that the Republican Committee successfully implemented a number of projects, including “For the Sake of a Green World,” “Pottery Masterclass,” and “Run for Health.” These initiatives contributed to the effective organization of leisure activities for trade union members in the healthcare sector and strengthened their solidarity. Additional activities included tree-planting campaigns, sports events, training sessions, and educational activities on labor rights.
On holidays and commemorative dates, gifts were distributed to trade union members, families of martyrs, and representatives of vulnerable groups, providing both material and moral support.
Elnara Muradova emphasized that only in the first six months of 2025, 2,556 healthcare workers received sanatorium and resort vouchers.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on the priority areas of activity for AHİK and its member organizations, as well as on the planned events and future activities for the upcoming period.
