An international scientific conference dedicated to the Novruz holiday, titled “Our Family is the Turkic World,” was held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The event was jointly organized by the Free Trade Union of the Academy, the Institute of History and Ethnology, and the Institute of Folklore.
In his address, Academician Isa Habibbeyli emphasized that Novruz is not only an integral part of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage but also an important element of the shared cultural space of Turkic peoples, fostering spiritual solidarity among them.
The participants also presented insightful analyses of the significance of Novruz traditions in the context of statehood, national memory, and cultural identity.
The conference featured discussions on the common history, ethno-cultural heritage, and folklore traditions of Turkic peoples.
The event continued with panel sessions.
