A meeting was held at the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (CTUA) with Svetlana Imankulova, Chairperson of the Trade Union of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers of Kazakhstan, and Odinakon Akhmedova, Deputy Chairperson of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Workers of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the development of relations between our countries across various sectors was discussed. It was emphasized that, as a result of the political will of the heads of states and the friendly relations between the countries, cooperation has reached a strategic level. It was noted that in Azerbaijan, special attention and care are provided to individuals working in the cultural sector and to creative professionals, and consistent measures are being implemented to protect their labor rights.
The meeting also included information on the work carried out in Azerbaijan to protect the labor, social, and economic rights of trade union members, protect their health, and organize their medical treatment and leisure time, as well as on the projects being implemented and innovations applied in this field.
Representatives from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan highly appreciated the innovations applied in the Azerbaijani trade union system, noting that they represent positive practices. It was highlighted that partnership between the trade unions of our countries is expanding, and this cooperation, as in other sectors, also creates additional opportunities for the development of relations in the areas of social protection, professional training, and experience exchange for cultural workers.
Within the framework of the meeting, Memoranda of Cooperation were signed between the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan member organization, the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Culture Workers, and the Trade Union of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Information Workers of Kazakhstan, as well as the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Workers of Uzbekistan.
Subsequently, the “Kurort” Tourism and İnformation Center and “Call Center”, the facilities established for admission of the citizens, as well as the innovations and the activities implemented on the Occupational Safety and Legal Assistance Center were introduced to the trade unions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
