A festive event was organized at the “Duzdag” Hotel on the occasion of 31 December – the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year by the Nakhchivan Trade Unions Council, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK).
The event, attended by trade union members, began with the playing of the National Anthem, followed by a one-minute moment of silence in memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the Motherland.
This was followed by the screening of a video presentation dedicated to AHİK’s activities throughout 2025.
In his address, AHİK Deputy Chairperson and Chair of the Nakhchivan Trade Unions Council, Gazanfar Abdullayev, congratulated the participants on the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, emphasizing that such events play an important role in strengthening unity and solidarity among trade union members.
The event also featured speeches by individuals who had worked in the trade union system for many years and are now retired, who extended their holiday greetings.
Within the framework of the event, representatives of primary trade union committees distinguished by their effective work and high level of activity were awarded, and certificates of appreciation were presented to active young people who provided voluntary support to the Council’s activities throughout the year.
The artistic part of the celebration included musical and dance performances accompanied by the “Harmoniya” instrumental ensemble of the Nakhchivan Music College operating under Nakhchivan State University.
