At today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy, the proposed amendments to the Labor Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan were discussed.
During the discussions, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, Sahib Mammadov, emphasized that the proposed amendments to the Labour Code constitute an integral part of the socio-economic reforms implemented in the country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The Chairman of the Confederation noted that these amendments are aimed at further strengthening the protection of labour rights, promoting the development of social partnership and dialogue, ensuring transparency and stability in employer–employee relations, and aligning national labour legislation with international standards in the field of labour rights.
