Representatives of the "Hak-Iş" Confederation (Confederation of Turkish Real Trade Unions), the largest trade union in Turkey, visited our country.
The guests paid tribute to the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor and laid flowers at his grave. The representatives, who came to the Alley of Martyrs, commemorated the heroic sons of the Motherland who died for the freedom of Azerbaijan, and also visited the Turkish martyrdom.
Then, a meeting was held with representatives of the "Hak-Iş" Confederation at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK).
The meeting emphasized the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, discussed the relations between the trade unions of our countries, the work done to further strengthen cooperation, and the prospects.
Sahib Mammadov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, emphasized that the relations between our brotherly countries, which have a solid foundation with the words of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states" and the founder of the Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk "Azerbaijan's joy is our joy, its sorrow is our sorrow", are at their highest stage of development with the joint efforts of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev and Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. All this opens up broad opportunities for the development of relations between the trade unions of our countries.
The event provided detailed information on the reforms carried out by Azerbaijani trade unions in the direction of protecting labor rights, creating decent working conditions, protecting the health of members, and effectively organizing treatment and recreation, as well as the projects implemented.
Mahmut Arslan, the Chairman of the "Hak-Iş" Confederation noted that the friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey is an example of unity and cooperation in the Turkic world, and highly appreciated the innovations recently implemented within the Azerbaijani trade union system. It was emphasized at the meeting that such visits, exchange of ideas and experience, and mutual support serve the interests of trade union members, and discussions were held on expanding relations between the AHIK and the “Hak-Ish” Confederation.
Within the framework of the visit, representatives of the “Hak-Ish” Confederation got acquainted with the activities of the Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, the educational process, and the services provided at the “Absheron” health center, as well as treatment and prevention procedures.
