Recently, several online news outlets have circulated baseless reports about the alleged dismissal of some employees of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan.
We officially declare that the dissemination of such false reports, which mislead the public and harm the operations and public reputation of the Confederation, is unacceptable. It constitutes a violation of journalistic ethics and violates applicable media laws.
We strongly urge all media representatives to verify information exclusively through official sources and to adhere strictly to professional standards and legal requirements.
We further demand that the media organizations responsible for disseminating false information issue an official retraction without delay and ensure that all future reporting is conducted with due responsibility and professional diligence.
