New Opportunities Created for the Implementation of Innovative Ideas at the Academy of Labour and Social Relations

An Innovation Laboratory has been launched at the Training Center of the Academy of Labour and Social Relations under the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.

The event brought together the leadership of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK), heads of member and affiliated organizations, representatives of state institutions, the Academy’s faculty members and students, as well as experts in digital technologies.

Deputy Chairman of the Confederation Musa Mirzayev spoke about the projects being implemented to enhance the knowledge and professional skills of trade union members and raise their awareness. He noted that the Innovation Laboratory established at the Training Center will create new opportunities for highly promising students as well as for the academic staff.

Head of Department at the Ministry of Science and Education Turkhan Suleymanov emphasized that the laboratory will create additional opportunities for young people to implement innovative ideas and creative initiatives, while also supporting the development of startup projects.

Acting Rector of the Academy Farid Babayev spoke about the work being carried out to improve the quality of education at the Academy and to train specialists whose skills correspond to the evolving demands of the labor market.

As part of the event, information was presented on the activities of the Academy’s Training Center, the projects being implemented, and the institution’s international cooperation. It was also noted that the Academy has received accreditation by the UK-based Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

During the event, students presented their startup projects, and certificates were awarded to participants who achieved outstanding results in the training programs.

It was also noted that Cisco training courses are planned at the Academy’s Training Center to help develop professional knowledge and skills in the field of information technologies.
