The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) organized a media tour to the “Absheron” gastrointestinal sanatorium.
The participants of the media tour were informed that the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation is implementing systematic and consistent measures to protect the health of trade union members and effectively organize their recreation, and modern and comfortable conditions are being created in sanatoriums and recreation centers.
Major overhaul repair and restoration work has also been carried out at the “Absheron” gastrointestinal sanatorium, and conditions have been improved. The sanatorium, located on an area of 16.9 hectares and with 212 beds, has two bed buildings, one treatment building, a conference hall, a club and a dance floor. Media representatives got acquainted with the renovated treatment building, examination and sleeping rooms. It was noted that the medical services of the sanatorium are organized in accordance with high standards. The examination rooms are equipped with modern medical equipment and more than 30 treatment services are provided by professional medical personnel. These services include iodine-bromine baths, tubage and paraffin therapy, natural mud treatment, as well as various physiotherapy procedures.
The medical base of the sanatorium includes a clinical-diagnostic laboratory, a functional diagnostics department, therapeutic physical education, massage rooms and other medical offices. The treatment and nutrition process is set in accordance with the modern sanatorium concept. The sanatorium operates continuously throughout the year. It was reported that any person can benefit from the treatment and recreation services of the sanatorium by applying directly and paying on the spot.
The technical infrastructure of the sanatorium has also been reconstructed. Thus, the electrical system has been completely renovated, a 550 kVA generator has been installed, ensuring stable energy supply. In the general area of the sanatorium, asphalt has been paved on internal roads, sewage systems have been renewed and connected to the central collector network. In addition, Wi-Fi internet, an IP telephony system and security cameras have been installed in the sanatorium. As part of the landscaping work, evergreen trees and shrubs were planted and irrigation systems were provided.
Mediatour participants have familirized the sanatorium's territory, the conditions created for treatment and recreation, treatment methods, and modern medical equipment.
