The Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHIK) continues to implement consistent and systematic measures aimed at protecting the health of trade union members and ensuring their recreation. The conditions at medical and health centers are being continuously improved.
At the AHIK’s “Kurort Naftalan” Health Center, located in the internationally recognized city of Naftalan renowned for its medical and wellness tourism - conditions have been enhanced, infrastructure modernized, and the facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Representatives of AHIK, state institutions, and members of the Parliament (Milli Majlis) visited the health center to become acquainted with the improvements made. The event was attended by Chairman of the Parliamentary Health Committee Mr. Ahliman Amiraslanov, Deputy Chairman of the Labor and Social Policy Committee Mr. Elshad Musayev, Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Rasim Ismayilov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Mr. Rashad Mustafayev, as well as representatives of the local executive authority and other officials.
Participants were informed that the accommodation building of the center has been renovated in accordance with modern standards, and all rooms have been furnished with new equipment. The building includes a total of 26 rooms with a total capacity of 50 beds. In addition, the facility has medical offices, massage and bath rooms, physiotherapy units, and a dining hall for patients undergoing treatment.
The treatment building of the health center has also been renovated and fitted with modern medical equipment. The facility includes examination, massage, physiotherapy, paraffin therapy, and carbon therapy rooms, an inhalation unit, a gym, and various specialized medical offices.
Infrastructure within the territory has also been upgraded, with new asphalt pavement laid on internal roads. The health center is equipped with Wi-Fi internet access, IP telephony, and security cameras. Trees and ornamental shrubs have been planted across the premises.
It should be noted that the medical base of “Kurort Naftalan” encompasses physiotherapy services equipped with modern fourth-generation medical devices for the treatment of musculoskeletal and dermatological diseases, as well as therapeutic bath procedures using Naftalan oil. The center’s services include Naftalan baths, combined Naftalan therapy procedures, manual therapy, paraffin therapy, hydrotherapy, inhalation, and other therapeutic treatments.
Participants highly appreciated the conditions created at the health center and the opportunities it offers for treatment and recreation.
