The final match of the European Universities Futsal Championship among students was held in Zagreb, Croatia.
The team of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, representing our country in the international competition, defeated the team of the University of Valencia, Spain, 7:2 in the final and won the championship.
Our team's player Agaseyid Seyidov was named the best goalkeeper of the championship.
It should be noted that our team's participation in the European Championship was organized by the Public Union of the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation with the support of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), the Public Union of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA) , the subordinate organization of AHIK, and the Trade Union of Science and Education Workers its member organization, as well as the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA). Since 2008 the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA) has been a member of the European Student Sports Association (EUSA).
