On November 20–21, the 23rd meeting of the Executive Committee of the Pan-European Regional Council (PERC) of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) was held in Brussels.
A delegation from the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) took part in the event. PERC General Secretary Esther Lynch presented the agenda of the meeting to the Committee members.

ITUC General Secretary Luc Triangle provided information on preparations for the upcoming General Council and on the organization’s updated strategic direction.
During the session, reports from the Youth and Women’s Committees were delivered, preparations for the ITUC General Council were reviewed, and the PERC Declaration on Artificial Intelligence was discussed, along with the 2026 activity plan and financial issues. Following deliberations, the Committee adopted the relevant decisions.
Within the framework of the event, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, Mr. Sahib Mammadov, met with ITUC General Secretary Luc Triangle.
During the meeting, an overview of AHIK’s activities, projects, and recent innovations was presented. The parties exchanged views on the expansion of cooperation and discussed the directions for further development of bilateral relations.
