On October 24, the Congress of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation was held in Tbilisi.
The event brought together representatives of the International Trade Union Confederation, the International Labour Organization, and trade unions from various countries. The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) was represented at the Congress by its delegation.
During the Congress, a report covering the activities of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation for the years 2021–2025 was presented. Participants were informed about the initiatives implemented to protect labour rights, regulate relations between employees and employers, and promote the development of social dialogue.
In their address, the representatives of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation emphasized the long-standing relations of friendship and good neighbourliness between Azerbaijan and Georgia and extended their congratulations to their Georgian colleagues on the successful organization of the Congress.
