An event titled “Youth Participation in Gender Equality” was held at the Academy of Labour and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
Farid Babayev Acting Rector of academy, Sevinj Mammadova, representative of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs; Maleyka Alizade, Chairman of the Ganja Regional Women’s Centre; and Gulnara Huseynova, Deputy Head of the Youth, Social Projects and Gender Issues Department of AHIK delivered speeches. They discussed the fundamental principles of gender equality and underscored the importance of raising youth awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals.
It was highlighted that gender equality contributes not only to social justice but also to the innovative and sustainable development of society. The speakers emphasized that active youth engagement plays a key role in eliminating gender stereotypes and fostering an inclusive decision-making environment.
The event additionally included thematic discussions, and students’ questions were addressed in detail.
