A festive event was organized at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) on the occasion of 31 December – the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year.
The event was attended by the Confederation’s staff, employees of member and subordinate organizations, trade union members, and AHIK volunteers. During the event, a video presentation highlighting the work carried out throughout 2025 was screened.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Confederation, Sahib Mammadov, congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday on behalf of trade union members. He emphasized that, thanks to the wise leadership of the Head of State, Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty have been restored, and that the country’s international standing as a strong, independent, and victorious state has further increased.
It was noted that 2025 will be remembered for significant achievements in the socio-political and socio-economic spheres amid the country’s sustainable development, as well as for important results and major accomplishments in the activities of the trade union movement.
It was also highlighted that the 8th Congress of AHIK was held, and that the Congress is of particular importance in terms of analyzing the current state of the trade union movement and determining its future development directions.
In addition, detailed information was provided on the work carried out during the year in the areas of protecting labor rights, ensuring decent working conditions, strengthening social partnership, as well as activities and projects implemented in the fields of youth and volunteer engagement.
Within the framework of the event, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to employees and volunteers for their active participation in the organization of the 8th Congress of AHIK.
