Public Union of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA)
Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHIITA) was established by the decision of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) dated May 12, 1993. AHIITA was established with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among trade union members, effectively organizing leisure time, and increasing the mass participation in physical education and sports. The Association organizes sports competitions, Spartakiads, and Universiades in various sports, and supports the growth of youth interest in sports and the development of sports.
The purpose of the Voluntary Student Sports Society “Ganjlik” (“Youth”) a subordinate organization of AHIITA, is to strengthen interest in sports among students in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, promote the principle of volunteerism, and form a healthy lifestyle.
In addition, there are 3 main sports sections in the structure of AHIITA:
1. Chess and mind games section
2. Wrestling sections
3. Martial arts and physical training section
The spectrum of activities of AHIITA includes the following sports:

Representatives of the Association have won a total of 242 medals in both national and international competitions.
